Good Friday

Only this early morning I realized today is Good Friday. I went out to the compound to do some gardening and medidate on how God so mercifully send His only son to die on the cross to redeem our sins. Through Him we can get reconcilled with God since after the fallen of mankind.

I became to reflect upon those quoting as "Black Friday" and now today called "Good Friday". Indeed a good Friday of how Jesus has done so much for all of us who willingly to take Him into his/her heart. The very minute while crucified on the cross, despite the debilitating pain, humiliating, mocking and toturing HIm by the Roman soldiers, He still stay perfect and thinking of all of us by saying the very final words:

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; they don't know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34) Imagine how HE suffered on the cross to redeem our sins.

Jesus indeed gave us all the merciful forgiveness. I always take this as a strong prayer whenever anybody hurt me or said something behind my back.

When refering to when Jesus said to one of the 2 thieves crucified with him, "This day you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Jesus indeed gives us the gift of salvation. He promised the 2 thieves and assured them. So from here let us get the assurance from Jesus the very gift of salvation when only u trusted and seek salvation. HE even gave promises heaven to the criminal upon their renpentance.

Jesus said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son." Then Jesus said to John, his disciple, "Behold your mother." (John 19:26-27)
Through this speech of Jesus, we are to be assured that Jesus spoke to many in a goup. This should imply that Jeses gives us the gift of community - the connection with a community of believers, the family of God.

Then we can clearly seem from the quotes of Jesus above that God intended a family because God Himself is a family: the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit of love. When we receive salvation, we have God for our father, Jesus is our brother, and the Holy Spirit of love dwells within us. So salvation is not just a religion but right relationship , a connection or being connected to God and family. So dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us get connected to each other. For God wishes to give each and every one of us forever in heaven, provided we too accept Jesus and live his teachings, and are faithful to the cross of Jesus.
